- OK here's day 2. A couple of things I played last night between my last post & going to bed were one of my favourite Mountain Goats tracks Sometimes I Still Feel The Bruise, and All Over The World by those Pixies. Also saw the video for Bonnie Prince Billy's new version of I See A Darkness which is just genius.
- I'm a big fan of BPB & unlike some fans of his I tend to love it when he re-does old tunes. Greatest Palace Music for example - I love that album but I know some people think it ruins some classic Palace tunes.
Anyway, It's today saw me back in work after the Bank Holiday weekend and this means a fairly set routine during the day. It starts with 6music first thing while I get the kids up & out (Mrs J worked the night shift last night) with either Radio 2 or a CD in the car doing the school run.
I just remembered - I sent Shaun Keaveney my earworm this morning which was Just Like A Drummer by The Wave Pictures (see yesterday's list) and apparently it got played. This would have been at 07:55 while I was on the school run & therefore listening to Chris Evans wittering on about the chicken on the pitch during the Blackburn v Wigan match last night.
I've just checked this on the iplayer & it seems I was lied to. Oh well...
Just Like A Drummer is one of those songs like Blister In The Sun that I love but I can guarantee it will stick in my brain for days if I'm not careful.

We have an arrangement in work where we have Radio 2 in the morning and as soon as Jeremy Vine rears his head we change to 6music for the rest of the day. I usually head out for my lunch break about that time so I listen to an album on my iPod and then get back to catch the last half hour of Lauren Laverne's show before Radmac & the first hour of Lamacq.
One thing I've learned from doing this today: copying & pasting from the "music played" pages of the BBC website plays havoc with the format of your text on here.
Oh, and my iPod has been on fire since I got home. Nothing but stone cold classics...
